Longtime local genealogist Barbara Scanlon shares her knowledge and experience on researching Irish ancestors with anyone interested in beginning their Irish genealogy or with some experience. She’ll lead a workshop each month focusing on a different aspect of Irish genealogy. Anyone can attend all workshops to build their knowledge or attend just as the subject interests them. The Irish Center has wi-fi so participants are welcomed to bring laptops, although computers are not required.

Will focus on the recently released 1911 Irish Census and how to find and use U.S. and other Census records.

What to do here, at home, before you go to Ireland to do on-site research.

How and where to find death records and what they can tell you.
Sat. May 15, 9 am – Scots Irish
What exactly does the term “Scots Irish” mean? Who are these people and how do you find them?
