at the Irish Museum and Cultural Center in Union Station

John will receive “The Chieftan” award in honor of these qualities of historic Irish leaders, which he has exhibited in many, many years of service to the Irish community.

Join Guinness Master Brewer in KC March 14

Guinness Master Brewer Fergal Murray will be Kansas City at several locations Sunday March 14 demonstrating how to pour the perfect pint and sharing the lore of Guinness. Come visit and learn from Murray, enjoy some specials and take home some Guinness logoed items.
     Browne’s Irish Market, 2 – 4 pm.
     O’Dowd’s Little Dublin on the Plaza, 4 – 6 pm.
     The Cashew after the Flogging Molly concert, about 10 pm.

As a Master Brewer for Guinness, Fergal Murray is charged with maintaining a 250 year-old legacy of making beer that has become a standard of quality and innovation. As a worldwide Ambassador for Guinness, Murray shares his infectious passion and extraordinary knowledge of this national brew. Murray began as a research chemist for Guinness and since has completed a brewing degree and created a six-step pouring process unique to Guinness.

This Irish season, take a little time to toast the heart and history of Ireland’s own, come visit Murray at Browne’s, O’Dowd’s or The Cashew Sun. March 14.

What do you do with the whole family on St. Patrick’s Day?
Bring them to the Irish Center before or after the Parade! There will be family-friendly activities all day. While everyone’s having fun, we’ll also learn something about our Irish heritage!
