Sun. Jan 11 KC School of Irish Music Teacher Concert
2 pm, $4 IMCC members, $5 general public, free 18 and younger
Come hear some of Kansas City’s best musicians on the iconic Irish instruments - flute, tinwhistle, fiddle, harp and bodhran - and learn about classes available for students of all ages through the Kansas City School of Irish Music. Turlach Boylan who teaches flute and tinwhistle was All-Ireland flute champion; Dave Agee teaches fiddles and banjo; Doug Goodheart teaches tinwhistle, fiddle and bodhran; and Emily Wyatt teaches Irish harp. It will be an afternoon of beautiful Irish music followed by a reception to meet the teachers and learn more about classes.

Sun. Jan. 25 Celtic Pottery Make and Take Class
1-4 pm, $35/person/plate
Create Celtic designs on your own pottery to keep or for gifts. Large plates, paints, designs, equipment - all supplies needed - and instruction by local artist Mike Dugger provided. Sun. Feb. 22 Youth Talent Showcase
2 pm, $4 IMCC members, $5 general public, free 18 and younger
Non-competition talent show open to all youth ages 8 - 18 to sing, play an instrument, dance, tell a story, etc. - anything Irish related. No entry fee. All youth are welcome and encouraged to come share the heritage! And everyone is invited to come hear and enjoy their talents!

Plan on attending this elegant annual highlight honoring Jim Ferrell as the John J. Sullivan Jr. Foundation humanitarian awardee, and featuring entertainment by The Elders and O'Riada dancers! Supporting the Irish Center.

The Center is open all day for warm refreshments before during and after the parade, music, kids' activities and comfortable visiting.

Classes
A & B Irish Gaelic Language Classes
Class A 6:30 - 7:30; B 8 - 9 pm. Both classes are invited to overlap 7:30 – 8 for extra review time and practice! .Wednesdays starting first week of February.
Conversational Irish Gaelic Language Class
7 pm Thursdays, starting first week of Feb. 10 weeks.
Email info@irishmuseum.org for enrollment form for all language classes. Fee: $100 IMCC members or $130 (or $150 for family) includes 2009 IMCC membership.
Tinwhistle classes
7 pm, Beginner class, Mondays starting starting January 19th for 10 weeks
